There are applications already on the mobile phone market that can find inexpensive gas based on location. There are yet others that can use the GPS now available in many smart phones to help you drive more efficiently. Although they help you save gas, these apps only show the posted cost of gas nearby or show possible routes. What's the true cost? If you travel out of your way to a cheap station, are you really saving any money? They leave answering these questions up to you.
Guzzler will provide the true savings feature still missing in other gas purchase apps. By rating which stations provide real savings and recording each trip you take after you shake [your phone to let Guzzler know you want to record a car trip] for comparison, you can always make the better choice. Guzzler will know about your car too, to calculate your actual mileage between purchases. When you purchase gas, just tell Guzzler and all the calculations happen in the background. At the end of the month you’ll see how much gas you purchased for each vehicle, and how much you spent. Guzzler will award you points based on your performance, which you can improve by carpooling too. Via your Guzzler account you can then spend your points in the form of donations to eco-friendly charity.
